all my paintings, from now to 1998

bio

I completed my first painting in 1998, and learned to paint during 10 years of weekly lessons with esteemed artist pir tareen

I was born in victoria, grew up at 46 o'connor street oxley brisbane, and attended corinda primary and high school

Thriving and surviving being a child of the 60's and 70's - no helmets for our bikes or scooters, our dogs roamed free, no fences, no mobiles - and the neighbourhood kids were your besties. Days filled with fun and freedom and magical moments

I enjoy an endless supply of magical moments - they are in my family and friends, my paintings, my beautiful garden, and more...

I paint whatever I feel like painting in the moment. There is no genre that I relentlessy adhere to - I jump from detailed bridges to flowers, industrial to whimsical

It's a lovely thing to look at a painting and think ‘I painted that’

I work full time at AREEA - totally blessed to have work that I enjoy all aspects of, along with a great team of people.

I have designed and implemented many websites over the years since they first became available - I taught myself html coding from the 'idiots guide to html' and it grew from there. My website is completely designed and maintained by me. It's another of my artworks :)

my part in this project was to create a koala for the gondwana plaque - all the sculptured plaques were amazing and my koala is delighted to be in their company

in november 2001, the centenery of federation was celebrated by displaying thousands of life-size figures over the lawns of federation mall and the slopes of parliament house in canberra, all of them representing every day australians

mine was our family tree using oil paints and black and white photos - there were so many amazing creations and it was great to be part of this historical celebration
